Julie Anderson-Beasley,
Studio Director and Dance Instructor

Julie Anderson-Beasley began dancing at the age of 2.  She danced at "Elaine's School of Dance" in Chrisney, Indiana until she graduated high school in 2001.  While dancing at "Elaine's," Julie took classes in ballet, tap, gymnastics, and pointe.  Her main focus was ballet and pointe while at the dance studio.

In high school, Julie danced with the Heritage Hills High School Patriot Dance Team for four years.  She served as a co-captain of the team during her Junior and Senior years of high school.  The team performed pom, jazz, hip hop, and kick line dances for home basketball games.  The team also participated in UDA dance camps and Julie earned high performance ratings while at the camp.  Julie also choreographed routines for the dance team and for the winter guard at HHHS.

Julie attended Indiana State University, where she majored in Music Education and minored in Dance.  Julie's dance minor brought her many performance opportunities.  Not only did she perform in semester recitals where she danced ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and ballroom styles, but she also danced in various productions with ISU's Theater Department.  She was selected as one of four dancers to perform with the ISU Theater Department in the production of "Leavesakes" at the American College Theater Festival.

Julie was also a member of the Sparkettes Dance Team while at Indiana State University.  The team performed jazz, hip hop, pom, and kick line dances.  She danced at many basketball games, including the ISU game where Larry Bird's jersey was retired.  As a member of the Sparkettes, Julie also had the honor of traveling to and performing at the Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Tournaments and the Brickyard 400.

After college, Julie began teaching music at Indian Creek Elementary School and was later hired to coach dance at ICHS as well.  Julie is currently in her 14th year as the head coach of the Indian Creek High School Dance Team in Trafalgar, Indiana.  The team performs hip hop, jazz, and kick line routines for home basketball games and local events.  They also compete in the Indiana High School Dance Team Association circuit in Division A Hip Hop.  The team has consistently qualified for State Championships and has even earned the State Runner Up title in 2011 and 2013.

In addition to coaching and teaching, Julie has choreographed and performed dances for Vineyard Community Church in Greenwood, Indiana and Nineveh Christian Church in Nineveh, Indiana.

Julie opened "A Time to Dance" in 2013 and has been amazed with all God has done with the studio.  She prays this studio glorifies the Lord!
